Born in a small town called Bennekom on the 29th of April 1986, DJ TmoTion (Tijmen Gombert) was early confronted with music. His father was a percussion teacher and at home there was no lack of rhytm at all. After 100's of Eric Clapton, ToTo and Paul Simon songs which came from his stereo, TmoTion was astonished that they were playing a “rythmic song without vocals”. Approximately ten years later (2001) TmoTion was caught by the DJ virus. The Dutch trance DJ Armin van Buuren fascinated him every Thursday with his radio show. After visiting "the famous" parties on young age, he knew it for sure: TmoTion wanted to be a DJ. And why: "there is no more beautiful feeling than the energy which you get from the crowd that is going nuts on the music your playing" according to himself. After 3 years for having himself concentrated on trance, he began to have interests in techno and house. The rigorous switch came after his successful internetrelease of the Gabriel & Dresden tribute mix which was downloaded over 13000 times. The trancerecords became only stuff for listening, from that moment TmoTion was playing House. House in all the varies of the word. His sets distinguish themselves from the mainstream in their versatility. Sometimes starting with jazzy or beachhouse TmoTion takes you along all the varies of pumping groovy ass-shaking house to firmer house styles, which tend sometimes to progressive and techno. With as guiding principle: musical quality. Beside performances in for example Utrecht, Amsterdam, The Hague, Delft, Val Thorens (FR), TmoTion organizes his own parties. At the gigs TmoTion will be playing he’d like to leave the visitor experienced what real funky house means!
